Our destination, the magnificent white quartzite dome of Frenchman’s Cap rises 1443 metres over the Franklin – Gordon Wild Rivers National Park.
Our journey begins by crossing the Franklin River; over button grass plains and through dense rainforest to beautiful Lake Tahune nestled below the Caps towering 450 metre south east face.
From here and after a couple of zig zags and a scramble or two we are rewarded by spectacular summit views (if the weather is fine).
We then retrace our steps back to the Franklin River and coach journey home.

Tours are available at any time between the months of December 2009 and March 2010 and are subject to a minimum number of 4 clients. Please call us if you have a group of four or more and we can build a tour around your itinerary.
